Delivery & returns

All prices on our website include VAT. Delivery is charged by distance from our store, worked out from your postcode at checkout before you pay. Click & collect is always free.

Delivery charges

Distance is measured in a straight line from our store postcode (HU1 3DY).

Next-day delivery

For baskets of cupboard items and robust fresh produce (such as yam, plantain and peppers). Order before 12:00 (UK time) for delivery on the next working day; after that, it's the working day after. Delivered by DPD, tracked to anywhere in the UK (Channel Islands and Isle of Man excluded). No deliveries on Sunday. Fresh items are packed in an insulated bag.

Fresh delivery days

Fragile fresh items (leafy greens, fresh fish and meat) are bought to order and delivered on our fresh delivery days, Tuesday and Thursday, by Afiabiem van, batched run, to addresses within 50 km of our store. Order by 12:00, 2 days before the delivery day. We email you the day before. Fresh items come in insulated bags with ice packs: please refrigerate them straight away.

Click & collect

Free. Choose a pickup time at checkout (09:00 to 12:00, 12:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 19:00). We email you when your order is ready. Bring your order number.

Returns and refunds

• Something wrong? If an item arrives damaged, spoiled or not as described, contact us as soon as possible (for fresh items, ideally on the day) and we will refund or replace it. This includes fresh items.
• Changed your mind? You can cancel ambient (non-perishable) items within 14 days of receiving them. Sealed food must be unopened. You pay the return postage, or you can drop items at the store.
• Fresh and perishable items can't be cancelled once dispatched, because they deteriorate quickly.
